When you think about what you can do for the environment few of us think about our food choices. Yet food is one of the areas of our life that has the greatest environmental impacts.
The food we eat accounts for: almost a third of our carbon emissions, half our water use and half the land we require to sustain our lifestyles.

World wide the rearing of lifestock uses 1/3 of the all land, accounts for 1/5 of all green house gas emissions and 1/10 of fresh water consumption.
The production of 1 kilogram of beef requires 15,500 litres of water and produces 36.4 kilogram of carbon emissions. A 200 gram steak has the same impact as:
