What's on in the Water Area?
On average every person on the Sunshine Coast use 185 litres of fresh water every day in the bathroom, kitchen, garden etc. But this is only part of the story. When you count all the water required to grow the food we eat and make the goods we use every ones of us used 1785 litres of water every day.

Most of the water used in our homes is used to wash away dirt, in our dishwashers, our showers, our kitchensinks and our toilets. Most of this water is still perfectely fine to use on areas such as our garden when it leaves our home. If we can get smarter about our water use we can significantly reduce the pressure on our water supply and water treatment facilities.
