SCEC' campaigns are the most significant and urgent of the environmental concerns. SCEC is working towards the protection of the environment of the Sunshine Coast through a range of strategies. This website uses a process of environmental issue identification and action. The forum has a wide and varied discussion of environmental issues. Issues discussions that gain enough momentum are 'championed' by a group of people interested in the issue. The idea of 'championing' an issue is that people who are interested or have skills relevant to the issue can come together to progress the issue.
