The Sunshine Coast Environment Council is bringing a range of solar power and hot water options to the coast, with the aim of installing 10,000 systems on our region’s rooftops.

 Why Ingenero?

The Sunshine Coast Environment Council has chosen to partner with Ingenero for our solar campaign because, through working together, we have the potential to transform communities. We believe this company will deliver a superior product and service package to our supporters – and in fact to anyone who wants to embrace solar power:

•   They offer an innovative finance package that puts solar within the reach of average Australians and completely eliminates the financial argument against going solar.
•   They remove the red tape for customers and installers and make going solar simple and straightforward.
•   All components of their products are superior quality including panels, inverters and mounting systems. Every aspect of their solar power systems including workmanship is backed by an industry-leading 10 year plain English warranty.
•   As well as residential solar, they are a supplier to the Queensland Solar Schools program and are responsible for an increasing number of innovative large-scale solar installations, e.g. at the University of Queensland and Alice Springs Airport.
•   Their environment policy is in keeping with SCEC’s ethos and objectives.
•   They use local installers, creating green jobs in our region.

Everyone on the Sunshine Coast can now have a quality solar power or solar hot water system:

• no up-front cost
• pay it off with savings made on your electricity bill
• take advantage of government incentives
• help reduce greenhouse gas emissions
• high quality systems with excellent warranties.

Protect yourself against predicted electricity price rises - find a solar system that’s right for your home.

Can the Sunshine Coast become Australia’s most sustainable region?

Yes we can! Be part of the largest community action of its kind!

SCEC has teamed up with local solar supplier Ingenero and the Maleny Credit Union to bring this special offer to households on the Sunshine Coast.

Quality systems with excellent warranties

All solar power and hot water systems are designed to maximise their efficiency and minimise your energy bills. All come with a minimum 10 year warranty and industry-leading warranties.

Be paid for the electricity you produce

In Queensland we have a net feed-in tariff. That means for every kWh of electricity that you produce using a solar power system above what you use (at any given moment in time), you receive a minimum of 44 cents. Some electricity retailers pay 50 cents or more per kWh. This compares to the approx 18 cents it costs to purchase electricity.

Make a difference

Every home switching from electric to solar hot water will save around 3 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions a year. A 1.6 kilowatt solar power system will save around 2.3 tonnes a year. When we reach our 10,000 solar roofs target, the Coast will be stopping about 20,000 tonnes of CO2 from reaching the atmosphere every year.
