Join Wayne and Cam from the Barung Native Nurseries and learn more about how to identify local native plants.

Learn what they look like as tubestock in the nursery, to how they grow once planted. gain some inspiration on what to select for your own projects like home native Garden for Wildlife or a larger revegetation project. The Barung Seed Forest is a great demonstration site for both!

Wayne and Cam will guide you through the Barung Seed Forest explaining the different species we have in stock at the nursery, how they are growing at the Seed Forest, what species are appropriate for different landscapes and projects you may be working on, and answer any questions you might have along the way.

This will be a casual meandering through the site, please wear closed shoes and sun protection.

Feel welcome to bring samples of plants for help with ID (please bag these if you suspect them to be weeds).

People are also welcome to enjoy a social catch up with fellow members and enjoy the sunset over Maleny. There will be a variety of games to play. If you have an instrument, please bring it along. Children are welcome with adult supervision.
