World Environment Day 9th June @ the University of the Sunshine Coast from 10am- 4pmplanning is well under way and the office is abuzz with excitement. Stockland has now submitted it's Caloundra South Final Public Environment Report (PER) to the the Federal Environment dept. Environment Minister Tony Burke now has 40 business days to make his decision on this massive development within the environmentally sensitive Pumicstone Passage catchment. View report here
Symphony By the Sea: 11th May 2013
The 7th Annual Symphony by the Sea Concert will be performed by the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra on Saturday.11th May at the Coolum Civic Centre 2- 4.30pm.
Hosted by Development Watch and Sunshine Coast Environment Council this event includes complimentary wine and cheese, and afternoon tea.
There are only a few tickets left. Pre purchase tickets are $20 and Concession $18. Tickets at the door are $25 and $22.

As we move into the last two weeks to try to stop – or at the very least slow down – the changes to the Vegetation Management Act, there is a new page on Facebook that we need people to like and share with their ‘friends’, check out: ‘Don’t Bring Back The Bulldozers’ The main point of this FB page is to share information about the proposed law changes but also to get people to go to the new stand-alone webpage that is also called “Don’t Bring Back The Bulldozers” where you can go to send a letter to Premier Campbell Newman.
