Faunawatch walks

23rd May – 8am
Lamerough Creekside Walk, Pelican Waters.
This walk follows Lamerough Creek through the environmental reserve. With a mix of paperbark, and eucalypt along this riparian walk it will be a good mix of fauna species and interesting to see what is present along the east side of the Aura reserve and Blackbutt forest.
Meeting Point: Park at the northern end of Tweddell Dr (type in 100 Tweedell Drv, Pelican Waters into your navigator).

Floydia Nature Reserve, West Woombye.
Floydia is a 34ha site that was originally cleared farmland. After revegetation works it now consists of low open forest and lowland subtropical rainforest. With 300 species of plants it will be good to see what fauna we can find.
Meeting Point: Meet us on White Cedar Pl. 300m past Menary Ln.

Fairview Walk Wetland Section, Nth Maleny.
The Sunshine Coast Council has done a great job in creating “Fairview Walk”. It has been a few years since we have done the western corner and the wetlands so let’s see how it has changed in that time.
Meeting Point: Meeting point will at the end of Parklands Dr (via Porters Ln. – 400m past Barung Landcare Native Nursery).


Faunawatch Regular Survey
Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens
Our regular Maroochy Botanical Gardens walks continue through 2022. This survey on the second Wednesday of the month provides an opportunity for anyone to come along and find out more about Faunawatch.

Meeting in the car park we start with a walk on one of the several trails in the gardens followed by BYO morning tea and general discussion.
