Florabunda Pocket BushCare Action Bee - October 7
This photo of Petrie Creek at Florabunda Pocket taken in 2015 from near the Rugby Club building is a reminder of what happens when it rains. It's getting hard to remember that long. An illustration of the reason for much of the action we take when restoring the habitat along the creek. Preparing for this sort of flood that as unlikely as it seems now, is sure to happen. Lots of plants with lots of good roots to stand the erosion. One reason Lomandras are so good!
We'll be back doing some more of this preparation this Saturday 7 October starting at hot weather time of 7am.
If you'd like to join in the excitement and exercise (as much or as little as you want) of native habitat creation, come in "long everything" bush protective clothing including boots/shoes and a hat. We'll have all the tools you need, but bringing your own favourites is good too.
We'll finish with a cuppa about 9 am.
