The Human Face of the Kimberley with Ian Morris
In this presentation,Ian Morris takes a look at the fascinating social connections, highlighted by recent archaeology, anthropology, including rock art, genetics, even sea level change and many other aspects of our human history.
Ian is a biologist, author and conservationist and is one of Australia’s most acclaimed naturalists. In the 1980s, he worked with conservationist, John Sinclair of K'gari (Fraser Island) fame, who began running safaris through the remote Kimberley ecosystems in conjunction with the various clans and traditional owners. With a long history of working with the traditional owners of the Kimberley and Arnhem Land, Ian has an abiding love for the Top End.
Everyone is welcome at the NPA Environment Centre, 5 Wallace Drive, Noosaville on November 11 to learn more about the human history of Australia. The forum starts at 10:30am and morning tea is available at 10-10.25am. Entry is $5 by “tap & go” at the door which includes morning tea/coffee.
