Every month people are invited to meet up at informal session known as Green Drinks. These events happen throughout the world.
A lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government, business and the community come together to network and share ideas. It's a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Anyone is invited, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organising network.

Sunshine Coast BioBlitz series 2023
That’s a rap for the Sunshine Coast BioBlitz series…. what did we find? We’ll this Green Drinks you will find out. Along with the data presentation some environmental trivia and the winners of the Biodiversity of the Sunshine Coast exhibition will be announced by Sue Davis from Wild/Flower Woman.
The Sunshine Coast BioBlitz is a collaboration between the local Landcare groups to unite the community by raising awareness the biodiversity of the Sunshine Coast. No small feat but Noosa and District Landcare, Barung Landcare, ECOllaboration and Mooloolah River Landcare brought together 32 experts over 3 weekends, 200 participants and 16 local artists. The events experts included other local NRM groups like Forest Heart Nursery’s Spencer Shaw and Sunshine Coast Council’s Bird expert Ben Green.
Australian Citizen Science Association 2023 Conference
We are also fortunate to have Dr Stephen Turton from one of our new member groups - Australian Citizen Science Association (ACSA). Stephen is a co-convenor of the upcoming ACSA conference as well as the ACSA Vice Chair and will be talking about the up and coming conference - 20th-24th November 2023 on the Sunshine Coast.
