Here's the WED planting beside Petrie Creek near the new park downstream from Quota Park (again). Finally looking like it should after only about a year of intense activity on our part.
We'll be back here on Wednesday morning starting at 8 am with some more weed control in the parts the brush turkey has not done perfectly. And as well we have another major planting in an area back near the low level bridge that has been cleared of weeds with major efforts in recent months.
If you'd like to join in the fun of all that, come in "long everything" bush protective clothing including boots/shoes and a hat. We'll have all the tools necessary, but bring your own favourites if you wish.
Best access to site is to park in the north-eastern part of the ALDI car park in Howard St Nambour. Then walk down around/below the ALDI car park on the rough bush track to cross the low level bridge. You'll see us from there. Alternatively walk across the new park from Quota Park, a bit longer, but easier going.
Then we'll finish with one of those magic cuppas at about 10am.
