Join us to hand-weed lantana, Anzac flower, tradescantia (wandering jew) and blue-top weed This weeding will allow emerging piccabeen palms and sandpaper figs to establish along the creek at Coonoona Nature Refuge which contributes to the Mooloolah Range habitat corridor. The landholders have done an excellent job of restoring some impressive rainforest vegetation over many years. There are many large Birdwing butterfly vines to admire.
Please do not attend if you have any flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with people with these symptoms.
Meet at the back of the IGA carpark in Maleny at 7.30am for an 8.30am start. (or call 0400 658 634 for directions).
All tools will be provided. Bring gloves, water, boots, sunscreen and insect repellent. Long-sleeved shirt, trousers and hat are essential (Work Place Health and Safety Regulations).
