The tireless efforts of these amazing people contribute significantly to the enhancement and protection of the natural environment and liveability of the region.

Bunya Bunya Country Aboriginal Corporation

Bunya Bunya Country Aboriginal Corporation is a non-profit group established in 2007,

Manduka Community Settlement Cooperative

Manduka is situated on over 150 acres of land 6 kilometres outside Maleny.
It is home to 15 adults and their children. The residents believe in living simply,
sharing resources, reaching agreement through consensus, and managing their land
in an ecologically sustainable way. They care for 63 ha of natural habitat, 35 of which are
a Nature Refuge. The rest has been re-vegetated and weeded since 1979.

Take Action for Pumicestone Passage (TAPP)
