Hilary is a fairly recent Sunshine Coast resident, having done a sea/ tree change from Brisbane in 2015. Her lifelong passion and advocacy for the environment is backed up with specialist qualifications and expertise in Education for Sustainability (EfS) and Information Communication Technologies in Education (ICTE). She also has a wealth of experience as an environmental educator with extensive expertise in curriculum and policy development, resources and professional development and project management development across the entire educational span of early childhood, primary, secondary and university levels in Australia and overseas.
Along her professional journey has worked at all levels of government; at a number of universities; for a range of NFP groups and as a consultant and volunteer in Tuvalu, Borneo/Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Nepal. She has been a long term member of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s Commission on Education and Communication and was recently presented with the IUCN CEC Oceania Excellence Award for services and achievements.
