WED Fest - Petrie Creek Restoration Working Bee
Join Petrie Creek Catchment Care Group and help to restore Petrie Creek and its tributaries. Activities include planting local native plants, removing/controlling exotic and invasive weeds, and other bushcare activities leading to creation, restoration and regeneration of habitat for native animals in a section of a Petrie Creek tributary called Namba Creek.
The site is contained on a section of a tributary of Petrie Creek that runs behind the commercial buildings from Price Busters to Repco in Howard St Nambour. Access is from the carpark behind Repco. A registration site will be set up in this carpark.
All attendees are expected to follow our event rules to keep us all safe. Stay at home if you are unwell, or have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath, have been in a COVID hotspot and/or overseas in the last 14 days, or have been in close contact with a confirmed case. Vulnerable participants must obtain medical clearance to attend. For example, if you have a compromised immune system, over 65 years of age with a chronic medical condition or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples 50 years or over with a chronic medical condition.
As numbers are limited it will be necessary for people to preregister by RSVP'ing.
