WED Fest relaunches as online event

In these extraordinary times, the Sunshine Coast Environment Council's commitment to standing up for the environment continues. As many of you have guessed, we have had to reconsider our plans to host the World Environment Day Festival at Cotton Tree on June 7th.

But we are not going to let anything get in the way of us celebrating 40 years of taking action for the environment! Behind the scenes, the team are working hard to develop WED Fest in a digital format.

It is still our aim to come together as a community and celebrate our natural environment while recognising all of the great work that environmental community groups and organisations do. We will still have our usual line up of amazing musicians and inspiring speakers, but this time you won't even need to leave your home!

We look forward to connecting with you all online and creating opportunities to engage with our community and advocate for the local environment. In the meantime, be sure you are following our Facebook and Instagram pages so you don't miss out on any of the news. We look forward to bringing you WED Fest 2020 - live from your backyard, balcony or bedroom.
