JOIN OR CREATE A COMMUNITY COMPOSTING
Several of the community gardens above also have a community compost.
ShareWaste is a community that allows people to donate their food scraps that do not have room for compost to people who have compost, worm farm or keep farm animals. ShareWaste is available all across Australia.
Join in activities and events on the Sunshine Coast
These activities and events include but are not limited to the following:
- Plant tree events
- Community gardens
- Community composts
- Volunteering for environmental organisations
- Encourage local businesses to become more sustainability-friendly
- Sustainability-focused groups, including rallies, tackle projects
