Climate Action in the Community

Throughout the years, SCEC has orchestrated several community events to align with global climate conferences and days of action. Our intention is to communicate to our elected officials that their constituents demand immediate action on climate change.

At SCEC our mission is to bring together the wider community and empower them to proactively address environmental issues that resonate on a personal level. This objective is realised through a spectrum of impactful events and engaging activities, including:

• Earth Hour gatherings
• The Rise to Meet the Tide event
• Eumundi Lantern Parade
• Plates in the Paddock evenings
• Paddle out for Climate Action events
• Documentary film screenings
• Climate Change Relays

• Join in on activities and events on the Sunshine Coast
• Join a climate community movement
• Contact local representatives about climate-related issues
• Encourage local businesses to become more climate-friendly
• Volunteering for environmental or climate change organisations
