Yaroomba Declared an Endangered Wave
Yaroomba Beach has been declared an 'Endangered Wave' as part of the Surfrider's Endangered Wave campaign. The visual impacts imposed by the development along with the increased population in the local area are major threats to the wave itself and will have a great impact on local surfers. Glossy Team Sunrise
On 22 January 2019 Sunrise Beach locals supported by a Glossy expert sat down with Uniting Care and Blue Care representatives to discuss the planned aged care development at Sunrise Beach. The passionate locals explained to the developers the strong and urgent need to retain more trees to support the long term survival of the vulnerable Glossy Black Cockatoo, Calyptorhynchus lathami.
