Council gets it right with Palmview vote
MEDIA RELEASE 20 July 2018 The Sunshine Coast Environment Council (SCEC) has welcomed support for recommendations to have land at Palmview retained for conservation and flood storage. “These parcels have significant ecological and habitat values, function as wildlife corridors and are almost entirely flood prone. Sekisui's proposal approved
Last week, Sekisui’s inappropriate development application for Yaroomba was approved after Councillors voted 6:5 in favour of the proposal.

Sekisui decision to be made Thursday 21 June 2018
Last week, a report by Sunshine Coast Council officers recommended approval of the Sekisui House Yaroomba Beach development application, despite conflicts with the Planning Scheme and an unprecedented 9,288 objections from the community. Now, in a Special Meeting tomorrow - Thursday 21 June - 11 Councillors will go to vote and decide if this inappropriate development gets the green light.
