The Sunshine Coast Biosphere Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of individuals, community groups and organisations across our region.
The Froggies
The much-loved, highly respected and coveted Froggie Awards were established by SCEC in 1995, becoming a Sunshine Coast institution for almost 20 years.
The Froggies are now part of the Biosphere Awards
From 2026, the Sunshine Coast Environment Council Froggie Award will be presented as an overall environmental excellence prize, selected from all Biosphere Award nominations.
Eligibility
Every Biosphere Award nominee is automatically eligible for this special recognition, with one individual, community group or organisation honoured as a standout champion of conservation and environmental leadership.
Recognising Environmental Achievements
Including the celebrated ‘Froggie’ in the Biosphere Awards program ensures the Sunshine Coast’s most inspiring environmental achievements are recognised and highlighted, fostering connection to nature and a thriving future for our region.
The Sunshine Coast Environment Council Froggie Award recognises outstanding environmental excellence across the region.
