Green Drinks: Backyard Biodiversity

Join us at the next Sunshine Coast Green Drinks for an evening exploring the important role our gardens, backyards and urban spaces can play in supporting biodiversity across the Sunshine Coast.

Around the world, wildlife is declining as natural habitats are cleared, simplified and fragmented. Yet one of the the most powerful opportunities for conservation lies surprisingly close to home. Whether you have a sprawling backyard, a small suburban garden, a courtyard or even a balcony, there are practical ways to create habitat and support native birds, frogs, pollinators and other wildlife.

This special Green Drinks event will bring together local experts and passionate advocates to explore how everyday actions can help strengthen biodiversity and create thriving habitats within our communities. Join us for an inspiring evening of ideas, practical knowledge and conversation about the role we can all play in supporting nature where we live.

Date: Thursday 9 July 2026
Time: 5.30pm – 7.30pm
Venue: The Seed Pod, Mooloolah River Landcare

Enjoy a relaxed evening with fellow nature lovers. Vegan curry and drinks (beer, cider, wine and soft drinks) will be available for purchase, with tea and coffee provided.
