World Environment Day Festival (WEDFest) 2026 - great events all throughout June

We are excited to let you know that the WEDFest month long series of events returns in June 2026.
This year the theme for World Environment Day is climate action and seeking solutions for a safer, resilient and sustainable future. We’ll see some much-loved community favourites return, including:
- hands-on tree planting events
- climate walks
- the Story of a river
- Possum fodder, riparian zone and other tree plantings
- biodiversity and habitat creation workshops
- water bug surveys
- Environment Forums
- and more
There are a range of exciting activities that invite people of all ages to get involved. Whether you’re passionate about conservation, climate action, biodiversity, or simply keen to connect with like-minded locals, WEDFest offers something for everyone.
